We were very humbled when Tom and Olga hired us to photograph their wedding in Portugal a few weeks ago. We knew it was going to be a beautiful weekend but never could we have imagined what was in store for us. Our base city was Porto, in the northern part of Portugal (famous for Port wine). Their festivities started on Friday evening with a welcome dinner for all to attend. Saturday was filled with a trip to Fatima. And the wedding took place on Sunday in a beautiful church built in the 1600's with a reception at Quinta Ferreirinha next door. The party included lots and lots of food, waiters who played trumpets as they brought out each course, a mexican hat dance, and fireworks as Tom and Olga cut their cake. Just when you thought the party was over, the grills started up to cook up some late night snacks. Sausage flambe was among my favorite! We were so excited to be a part of this special trip.
